Ha! Since Kramer mentioned the new (cheaper) edition of Michael Powell's The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, it gives me enough of an excuse to mention we also got in Powell's A Matter of Life and Death, one of our very favorite films ever, issued for the first time in America on dvd, and it comes with a late powell film Age of Consent, which looks pretty awesome: shot in australia + young Helen Mirren.
And while you're at it, you should watch Powell's 49th Parallel, also just released by Criterion. It's Powell and Pressburger doing a nazi road movie shot across Canada in 1940. Killer.
