Crickets 3 is self published, and being distributed to comic stores through fantagraphics. it'll probably premier at the brooklyn comics show dec 4. beguiling will get it, like all stores that ordered it through diamond, a week or so after that. besides diamond, it will be available online in the family store, and maybe a couple other places? still need to contact last gasp, and the few other wholesale dudes. it's really cool people even give a shit about this, so thank you. it is heartening!
oh, and the other cover that was used for solicitation is still a cover, just not the front cover.it'll all make sense when you read it.

This was a surprise too. I'd not really been on the up and up regarding it.
Really, really can't wait to pick this up. I finally found a copy of Kramers 7 last month too, so this is just icing on the cake.

Happy to see this on the invoice for today, until I saw the cover switch.
Why the change from the solicited cover (which is now inside the book) to this cover which makes it difficult to display to the public?
comickaze, yikes, I am sorry the new cover makes the book hard to display in your store-I honestly felt like the switch was necessary considering how much the Blood of the Virgin chapter ended up being almost the entire issue. I felt like the cover should reflect that. I didn't think in terms of it was too dirty to display-it was solely an artistic choice.
I super appreciate your enthusiasm for my work, and I hope the book sells well despite the cover.
maybe put a backboard in the front, so only the cover title is exposed? post it notes?
its interesting to me, because so many superhero books have sexed up covers, especially when thinking of guys like hughes, stevens, and cho. is the cover to crickets any worse than the rocketeer shirt with betty slung over the rocketeer's shoulder, with her panties out? I know that shirt is old, but that hung in clear view in my local shop for years. comic shops are full of cheesecake, no?
